I hope the Indian team win.

Some estimates suggest Sunday's match between the sub-continental cricket giants at the Oval in south London could attract a worldwide television audience of more than a billion viewers.

At the end of the day, it was Pakistan that outclassed India in all departements of the game to bring home the mega ICC title.

Amir, who missed Pakistan's semi-final win over England with a back spasm, had taken two wickets for four runs in eight balls and India were six for two. Sarfraz Ahmed's young side annihilated India in the final by 180 runs, reversing its defeat in the group stages against its arch-rival.

Zaman's brilliant knock put Pakistan in commanding position as he removed the pressure while at the same time provide an oppurtunity to rest of the batsman to put a big total on the board.

Pakistan were 114 for the loss of no wicket after twenty overs. India had won the tournament in 2013 by beating England.

He hit the Indian bowlers outside the park by smashing six boundaries and an over boundary.

India, on the other side have looked a balanced side with both their batting and bowling departments having managed to click throughout the tournament. Then Suresh Raina was run out.

The "Law of Averages" were certainly going to catch up with India's "Big Three" after their brilliant run in the tournament.

Pakistan came into the tournament ranked eighth in the world One-Day International ladder and had only just scraped past Bangladesh in their only completed warm-up game. He added 71 for in 7.3 overs with Imad Wasim (25 no off 21).

But the two openers became more convincing and in the 20th over, bowled by Ravindra Jadeja, reached their 50s from consecutive balls - Fakhar second to the milestone from one delivery fewer when he cut his seventh four straight through the hands of Yuvraj Singh at point. He slogged the next ball over the deep extra cover boundary, and the next ball over the long on boundary.

"The turnaround has been magnificent", Kohli said. The way they turned things round speaks volumes for the talent they have.

India, who beat Pakistan by five runs in the Twenty20 final 10 years ago, have been lifted by the outstanding batting form of Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma.

Kohli said: "I congratulated them in the post-match presentation and I would do the same here because they deserved to win".

"It's been an up and down ride for us but I'm so proud of the boys", Arthur said.

One Pakistani batsman after another came and bullied the Indian bowling attack.

Virat Kohli's India and Sarfraz Ahmed's Pakistan will once again battle it out for an ICC trophy, when they face-off in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy. "We need to move on and learn from our mistakes".

For a team that can't play global cricket at home due to security issues, the victory has far-reaching implications.

He shared a first-wicket stand of 128 with Azhar Ali (59) and then put on 72 with Babar Azam (46) for the second.

"Don't worry about the India match". I am very hopeful of their win especially after the way India have played in the tournament so far.
