Suspect in IN killings found dead

Goodin said Salem Police got a phone call asking for someone to check on the family and that when deputies arrived around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, they found the bodies.

Police say an IN man wanted IN connection to the deaths of three people could be headed to Missouri. After getting search warrants, police entered the home and found the other two victims.

Police were searching Monday for a man in connection with the deaths of three people found in a home in southern in, police said.

The body, believed to be that of 47-year-old Richard Lee Burton Jr., was found inside a truck parked at the Blackwell Horse Camp of the Hoosier National Forest, off East Tower Ridge Road in southeastern Monroe County. He has long brown hair sometimes worn in a ponytail and is 5-foot-9 with blue eyes. Burton was residing at the residence where the crime took place.

Police say he should also be considered armed and risky.

"During part of our investigation (Sunday) evening, we learned that Richard Burton was also living at the home with the deceased victims", Goodin said.

Deputies believe Burton may be on his way to Missouri, Tennessee or Texas.

He is believed to be driving a blue 1997 Dodge Ram 4x4 2500 extended cab pickup truck.

If anyone knows the location of Richard Lee Burton, Jr or sees him or his vehicle, they should contact 911 immediately.The identities of the victims and their causes of death will not be released until autopsies are performed in Salem, Indiana. The vehicle should be bearing IN license plate, TK641MUK.

Further details including their names and cause of death will be released after autopsies are completed Tuesday, Sgt.

Indiana State Police detectives continue to investigate.
