LONDON - Arsene Wenger hailed "fantastic" Olivier Giroud for staying at Arsenal this summer after the French striker came on to score a late victor in Friday's dramatic 4-3 win over Leicester. Arsene Wenger made a decision to go for it and introduced Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud after 67 minutes and the pair both scored in the final seven minutes, keeping the points in north London after a dramatic first game of the season.

I'm the same, talking, encouraging players. I'm Oliver Emmerson, and I'll be taking you through the afternoon's action in the Premier League and elsewhere, after Watford's fixture against Liverpool, following the scores through the afternoon until Brighton and Hove Albion host Manchester City later on.

After crowning a good pre-season with a win over London rival Chelsea in last week's Community Shield, the Gunners should have been confident going into Friday's contest at the Emirates, reports Efe.

Manchester United's transfer business is "75 percent" complete but the club is still looking for a winger, manager Jose Mourinho said ahead of their Premier League opener against West Ham on Sunday.

Both teams will look to forget their dismal performances last season as Arsenal dropped out of the Top 4 after 20 successful seasons of staying at the top and Leicester remained at 12th place, out of the top 10.

Just 160 seconds after Lacazette scored, Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech was picking the ball out of his net. Then the knockout punch, via Olivier Giroud.

Moments later Giroud brought the house down with a well-directed header that emphatically bounced over the line despite Leicester appeals as Arsenal fans loudly proclaimed "We are top of the league".

Don't panic though Gooners, because having Jack Wilshere back from injury, even though he is not quite there yet and has only just begun trai8ning again after his latest medical mishap, is like a new signing. They also have the best defence in the league, letting in only 26 goals last season and with one of the youngest teams in the league, we can only expect them to get better.

When asked if he expected Mahrez to stay, he said: "Who knows?"

Matic impressed during his first 45-minute run-out in United's last friendly encounter against Sampdoria in Dublin, and he made his competitive bow against Real in Skopje, after which he gave his thoughts on the upcoming season.

"You come away from home, score three goals and are almost there and then concede two.bitterly disappointed", he said. "The game was 1-1, he scored the winning goal and everything was taken in his stride".

"We are open to an exceptional player", he told Sky Sports.

"Hopefully next season I will be here and we are not going to spend how we have this season". "We kept the faith and kept believing in our game to push hard". Tottenham is a -150 favorite to win the game outright, with Newcastle paying +400 on a win and +290 on a draw. "We are going to see at the end of the season what happens, knowing how hard it is".

"It was an unbelievable feeling to score against Manchester City".
