Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said that Indian soldiers are killing at least five-six terrorists every day on the Indo-Pak border and they told the soldiers that if Pakistan fights, they will give it a smash hit answer.

Earlier, Director General CISF - O P Singh said that "We (CISF) are working towards nurturing our core underlying qualities like discipline, turnout, physical fitness and tactical soundness that render us the vital edge in our functioning".

Speaking on the sidelines after inaugurating the NIA's new headquarters here, Mr Singh also claimed that no country would accept the rise of terrorism on its soil.

Without naming Pakistan as the country responsible for funding terror activities in the Kashmir Valley, Singh said, "The crackdown by the NIA on flow of funds from our neighbouring country for financing terror activities in the state has dealt a blow to the morale of these people (terrorists and separatists)".

Singh also said India has taken remarkable steps to highlight the menace of terrorism in the global forums and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has succeeded in bringing worldwide community on board on the issue.

The NIA investigations have resulted into 95 % conviction rate. Ahead of his address, the agency chief Sharad Kumar said a total of 166 cases from 26 states and union territories were assigned to the NIA over the past 8 years - since its inception after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. I'm confident that NIA will maintain its credibility & professionalism. Of these, 63 related to jihadi terror, 25 to terror acts by Northeast militants, 41 were cases of terror funding and counterfeit currency, 13 related to Naxal violence and the remaining 24 linked to miscellaneous terrorist acts or criminal gangs. He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing the global community on board on the issue of terrorism.
