He said he assumed they involved consensual affairs because Harvey Weinstein had insinuated that he was a philanderer. And so she offers some business advice-specifically referencing an aspect of the Harvey Weinstein scandal without actually naming Weinstein.

The French actress, who won the Palme d'Or at Cannes for Blue Is The Warmest Colour, said the film mogul stared at her "as if I was a piece of meat". "I found that it's quite easy not to masturbate in front of my employees, in fact its one of the easiest things I don't do".

It appears The Weinstein Company was well aware of Harvey Weinstein's predatory ways as the independent film studio was alerted of a number of sexual harassment-related cash settlements during the disgraced producer's contract negotiations.

"Talk to every woman you work with like she has the New York Times on speed dial".

She ended up getting cast in The Weinstein Co.'s 2017 film, "Tulip Fever".

Ewan McGregor said Weinstein was a "bully", Matt Damon said he had been left "absolutely sick to my stomach" while Ben Affleck added he was "saddened and angry that a man who I worked with used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass and manipulate many women over decades". "Everyone knew what Harvey was up to and no one did anything", Seydoux wrote in The Guardian. Evans said she met Weinstein when she was in college in 2004 at the club Cipriani Upstairs and then another time at his office.

The Oscar-winning star said she regretted not speaking out when she first learned of accusations against the movie mogul from a fellow actress, who has since made her own allegations public.

"He's big and fat, so I had to be forceful to resist him".

She told the publication she had maintained her silence until now for fear that Weinstein would "crush" her.

It continued, "While the recording is horrifying to listen to, what emerged from the audio was insufficient to prove a crime under NY law, which requires prosecutors to establish criminal intent".

Soon after, Bob Weinstein and three other members of the rapidly dwindling board issued a statement saying that new allegations of extreme sexual misconduct and sexual assault had come as "an utter surprise" and that any "suggestion that the Board had knowledge of this conduct is false".

She claimed Weinstein made advances towards her in a hotel room after asking her to kiss another woman. But the Manhattan District Attorney determined there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute, and the statute of limitations on the allegations of forcible touching, a misdemeanor, have expired.

But prosecutor Cyrus Vance said there was insufficient proof to pursue charges.

"Obviously he has some serious issues, and the tape is awful".

Since 1990, Weinstein and his wife have personally donated more than $1.4 million to various Democratic candidates or groups, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
