The two US Air Force B-1B bombers were joined by two F-15K fighters from the South Korean military after leaving their base in Guam, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to Reuters, North Korea has launched two missiles over Japan and conducted its sixth nuclear test in recent weeks as it fast advances toward its goal of developing a nuclear-tipped missile capable of hitting the USA mainland.

However it is unlikely North Korea would agree to allow the business owners' request to visit their facilities, given the heightened tensions over Pyongyang's nuclear and missile programs.

North Korea swore on Wednesday to bring "a hail of fire" after President Trump "lit the wick of war" with the Hermit Kingdom, the latest dramatic pronouncement promising conflict between the rogue regime and the United States.

He said in October that "only one thing will work" in relation to North Korea.

Rhee, now a member of the National Assembly's committee for national defence, said about 80 percent of the hacked data has not yet been identified, but that none of the information was expected to have compromised the South Korean military as it was not top classified intelligence.

"The briefing and discussion focused on a range of options to respond to any form of North Korean aggression or, if necessary, to prevent North Korea from threatening the United States and its allies with nuclear weapons", the White House said in a statement on the meeting.

Secret intelligence documents and photos collected by the U.S. military were among what was stolen from South Korea's classified information by Pyongyang hackers in September 2016.

It remains unclear whether North Korea is holding official celebrations for the party anniversary or if its leader Kim Jong-Un is making any public appearances for the occasion.

United States operations out of Guam are particularly provocative, as most suggestions are that a real USA attack on North Korea would come from warplanes out of Guam.

While the new measures also include limitations on the sale of refined petroleum products and crude oil, European Union member states will not provide new work permits to North Korean nationals.

Mr Trump made the remark in response to a question about whether he and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are on the same page on how to deal with the communist regime, the Korea Herald reported, quoting Yonhap.

U.S. defense officials have told CNN that the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan will conduct scheduled exercises with the South Korean navy off the peninsula at the end of this month.

This May an investigative team inside the defence ministry announced the hack had been carried out by North Korea, but did not disclosed what kind of information had been taken.
