The bug will eventually be permanently fixed in a software update, Apple said. The bug seems to affect iMessage and other apps including Twitter and Instagram as well.

Apple has yet to release an official update addressing the keyboard bug in iOS 11, but it does recommend a hack you can use in the meantime.
