With the win after a week off, the Rams improved to 6-2 while continuing to build a strong case when it comes to being one of the top teams to beat in the NFC thanks to the offense continuing to play at a high level, especially when it comes to the stellar play behind Jared Goff and Todd Gurley.

And oh, by the way, the team is still undefeated in matchups away from the Coliseum this year - pushing that record to 5-0.

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (89) celebrates after catching a pass for a during an NFL football game during the first half of an NFL football game against the New York Giants Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, in East Rutherford, N.J. He followed that with a nine-yard run to set the Rams up well in the red zone.

Goff was 14-of-22 for 311 yards and four touchdowns before exiting the game while Gurley had two rushing touchdowns, a 44-yard reception to set up a third and a 36-yard spring before a fourth score.

The Rams, after a series of very bad penalties, faced a 3rd-and-33 play from their own 48. The Rams threw a quick wide receiver screen to Robert Woods, who dashed through the middle of the defense for a 52-yard touchdown catch-and-run. He was relieved by Geno Smith in the final minutes of the game. The Giants had a punt blocked and a missed field goal and failed to do much on offense.

Early in the second quarter, kicker Greg Zuerlein hit a 27-yard field goal to put the Rams back ahead 10-7.

The onslaught continued in the third quarter, as the Rams scored 21 points in the period to remove all doubt. They had six plays of 30 or more yards. The first came on a Gurley one-yard run to cap a seven-play, 75-yard drive to open the second half.

Gurley capped the third-quarter scoring with a four-yard touchdown run, after linebacker Cory Littleton blocked his second punt in three games to give L.A. the ball on the NY 18-yard line.

The 2016 Rams, through 16 games: 224 points. Woods got open on a shallow crossing route and Goff found him on 2nd-and-goal for a four-yard touchdown.

After a long road trip that saw stops in Jacksonville, London and NY, the Rams will return home to Los Angeles next Sunday where they will host the Houston Texans at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum at 1:05PM PST. The lone bright spot for the Giants was a 26-yard touchdown catch by rookie Evan Engram late in the game. The Giants turned the ball over three times in the first half - two fumbles and an interception.
